Journeyman basketball, a non-profit youth basketball league contacted ecm design to create a new web site.  The site needed to have a clean friendly look and be easy to use for parents, athletes and coaches. ecm design took the pass, went the length of the court and made a slam dunk.

Kids ages 9-17 from all over the Seacoast and Rockingham County play for Journeyman Basketball, which started in 1999 as a league with 14 kids. That number has grown to over 420.

The league, which comprises three divisions and hosts three basketball sessions per year, is run mostly on a volunteer basis.

Journeyman runs about 200 games over the course of a year. Each team plays 10 games per session, and there are also All-Star games, championship games and father/son games.

The Web site, which keeps track of player statistics and standings, has been popular with the kids. The Journeyman site even has its own Hall of Fame.

Determined to help others have healthier pets, Paul Gallant opened Paul’s Custom Pet Food located in New Milford, CT.  Paul and his wife, Lynn work with pet owners, veterinarians, and pet nutritionists to prepare food for companion animals. They source only the highest-quality organic and/or locally sourced ingredients from farmers and small businesses and makes all food by hand.

When it was time for a new website, Paul and Lynn reached out to ecm design who designed their logo. This new website is very user-friendly and includes an e-commerce component where customers can purchase individual packages of “real” pet food or sign up for a 3 or 6 month subscription plan. ecm was given the task to create a way to ship frozen food, and treats with a number of different shipping options. ecm was able to complete the task while staying on budget.

ecm located in Exeter was able to meet PCPF’s complex website needs despite the geographical barrier using email and phone conferencing.

The Exeter Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival is an annual festival that attracts over 3000 beer and chili lovers from all over the country. The festival is a fund raiser for the Exeter Parks and Recreation Department and the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce. ecm was approached to design the logo, marketing materials and a new website.

Exeter became the capital of New Hampshire during the Revolutionary War. It’s believed that some of the gunpowder that was stored in the town’s powder house, built in 1771, was used in the Battle of Bunker Hill.  Wanting to reflect the town’s Revolutionary roots, Parks & Rec and the Chamber wanted to incorporate an aspect of its history in the name & logo of the festival.  ecm took the gunpowder barrel and adapted it to fit the theme of the event and pay homage to the town’s history.  The result is an easily recognizable and iconic brand that will stand the test of time.

Tranquility Salon & Skin Care in Exeter, NH, had invested a lot of time and energy into redesigning their salon. Their website did not capture the essence of the relaxing environment of the updated salon. The owner, Cathy, reached out to ecm to update the website to be responsive but also to capture the tranquil environment of the salon. Cathy also needed the ability to update content on the new website without it taking too much of her precious time.

ecm had worked on several print design projects over the years with Tranquility, so we had great confidence in our ability to produce a website that Tranquility’s customers would find easy to navigate, informative, and representative of the experience they would have at their salon appointment. The result is a perfectly paired salon and website.

Tranquility’s staff is extremely pleased with the content management abilities of the site. They are able to update business information easily and quickly without the knowledge of website coding abilities. ecm design’s developers take great pride in making sure business content can be updated by staff comfortable using a smartphone.

The organizers of the Visit Exeter NH website had a clear vision of what they wanted from the onset. A beautiful, clean, easy-to-navigate website with the main feature being a local events calendar. The site has matured and most recently was redesigned using responsive website design. The social media platforms are an important part of the redesign as well as a new photo page. The site, originally designed with locals in mind, has developed a tourist following, so the photo page was key in the promotion of Exeter as a destination. The business listings have expanded and are very comprehensive containing the most pertinent information including an on-line ordering link for those offering this level of functionality.

Heritage Lanterns originated in Boston and eventually made it’s way to Yarmouth, Maine in 1979. Craig Gustafson ran the business out of a small manufacturing building with a crew of around six artisans. His daughter Karla began managing operations when her father decided to retire in late 2000. In early 2013, Heritage downsized and Karla sold the business.

The building in Yarmouth has closed, however in an effort to continue the Heritage legacy they partnered with New England craftsmen to handcraft their lighting fixtures. ecm design was hired to create a content managed, mobile-friendly, e-commerce website where Heritage could sell their fixtures online and people could admire the quality and dedication put into each and every piece.
